Gay Pride?! WTH! This was one of the labels you click on at the iTunes online store. I guess that is the link to all kinds of "gay" music and "gay" movies. Okay, I realize this "gay pride" stuff has been going on for a long time now, and has only picked up speed in the last few years. I should probably be numb to it by now, but it still bothers me though. Especially when it is smacked right in your face like that. I realize that this is not a PC subject to talk about (unless you want to talk about how great gayness is), but I'm tired of being quiet on the subject.

Before I get in trouble, let me just say that I have had gay friends, and I work with gay people. I am not some hate monger. My coworkers and friends would never describe me as some intolerant religious bigot. I would never harass somebody for being gay, nor would I approve of those who do. However, I will not pretend that it is just fine to be gay. I believe it to be sin, because that is what God says it is. It is not a super sin. It is no worse than being a liar, or a thief, or an adulterer. This is simply what I believe about homosexuality. It is a sin just like any other. That being said, I would never think to make a sign proclaiming "liar pride", or "adulterer pride", or "pedophilia pride". That would be ridiculous! Why would you try to bring about a sense of pride in a community over such things?!

I am a sinner too, but I will not take pride in the things I do that are disgraceful to God.
